Anton Derevyanko – Saxophone

Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, Anton Derevyanko is a Boston based tenor saxophonist and musician who graduated from Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, he was a member of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute under the direction of Marco Pignataro and Danilo Perez. Anton has studied with some of the legendary “Boston tenors” such as George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi, Dino Govoni, as well as others including Joe Lovano and the rest of the highly esteemed faculty at the Global Jazz Institute.

Throughout his career, Anton has performed and/or shared the stage with names such as Donny McCaslin, Alex Sipiagin, Esperanza Spalding, Terri Lyne Carrington, John Patitucci, Joe Lovano, and Danilo Perez. He has traveled the country and the world performing and teaching on many different levels from university masterclasses to elementary level workshops with new music students. He is currently working on establishing himself as a successful musician and performer as well as teacher in today’s generation.
