Avi Rafaelov – Saxophone / Clarinet

Avi Rafaelov is an active teacher, recording artist and live performer in New England and around the world. Over the last decade, he had performed in the U.S., Germany, Russia, Turkey, Israel and more, playing and recording in a variety of different bands, genres, and well-known artists. After being accepted to Berklee College of Music and receiving a full scholarship, Avi went on to pursue his jazz studies. In 2018, he had graduated Summa Cum Laude and got his B.M. degree majoring in Jazz Composition, and also received Berklee’s Wayne Shorter Jazz Composition award along the way. His teachers in Berklee included George Garzone, Tia Fuller, Terence Blanchard Dino Govoni, and Shannon LeClair among many others.

Studying music for over two decades, whether classical\jazz\other genres, Avi believes in finding every student’s musical interests, and working towards speaking the language of music fluently.
